3 cups of brown sugar
1 cup of melted butter
1 cup of whole or skim milk
1/4 teaspoon of almond extract
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 cup of shortening
5 pieces of large eggs
3 cups of all purpose flour
1 cup of chopped black walnuts

Frosting Ingredients:
8 oz. of softened cream cheese
1/4 cup of softened butter
16 oz. of confectioner’s sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Directions in making the cake:
